If there are satellites, then man's landing on the moon doesn't seem all that far fetched. Yes, the landing on and launching from the moon requires more than putting something into orbit, but I believe all of it achievable. Re: actuality of mars rover, I reason similarly as follows - The imagery from outer space together with scientific explanations of the images (e.g.the chemical compositions of celestial bodies) along with man's advances in other sciences (e.g. astro/physics ...&c) makes there being a rover on Mars plausible.
