"Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-boggingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the street to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space." - The Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams 1952 - 2001
Guessing from the history of physics so far, the results will probably go unexplained, and just when we think we got it, it will turn out it had nothing to do with dark matter. In the meantime dark matter and energy get all sorted out, and when we re-investigate what caused these results then, it will lead us into even more exotic and mind-boggling stuff that turns everything upside down again. A question answered, two new ones to start looking for answers for.
