Vampires are sexy. Immortals... well... they aren't. Typically. :P

I'm immortal... and this... has just made me cry.

How are you immortal? Is it like the nutters who think they are psychic?

He's saying he's much more sexsay ,than a vampire .

He's got the song in his head, but with different lyrics .

IF you think I'm sexsay, and you want mah boday ,vampires are just so cold .

IF you really need meh, just reach out and touch meh, fangs are boring and really old .

Vampires are immortal unless you drive a steak through their heart and they can share their immortality with you. Immortals are selfish and won't share.

Well, I'm not actually immortal.

It's a long running joke among few here that I'm some sort of reptilian being.

I play along with it because it lightens the place up.

I actually laughed at this. :D

In my opinion the sexy vampires arent really vampires, thats just some horny girls vision of what a vampire is supposed to be.

Vampires are more popular because they have more folklore/ myths to work with. I mean think about it legends about vampires go back thousands of years, and that gives writers and directors more to work with. Immortals on the other hand.. with the possible exception of the China's whole Taoist immortal thing, has almost nothing to work with. Furthermore vampires, sense the the creation of Dracula have been associated with sexuality, so that creates more interest as well. The only immortal character that I can think of who kinda tapped into that vibe was the dude from highlander. Besides, vampires are almost always immortal anyway so it allows you to explore the same themes as with a base line immortal with added elements

With all these vampires movies out there, to think this young generation may think there are real vampires out there and if they maybe one, is worst then all the violent vidios games :) not just the shootings, but kids going around killing people`s for blood, there are cults out there that really think drinking human blood will keep them young.Good grief what`s next.?

Has anybody heard of a population explosion?

Neither is good if you want to keep the numbers at a respectable level.

I can understand why vampires are more popular than immortals.

They are seriously cool monsters while immortals are just plain dull.

However I prefer to be an immortal because I'm not looking over my shoulder all the time.

It's not much fun being stalked by Van Helsing,Ben Mears or Buffy.

What exactly is this thread about? Hmmmm.... why are apples more popular than colonic irrigation?

Whatever happened to mummies, man?

They spend a thankless life cleaning up, driving around, washing the laundry of, paying for and and worrying about their offspring?
