Here's my story:
It all started when I was about 10-11. I was a little rascal back then. I've always been and kind of still am. So anyway, A bunch of my old friends dared to me to dishonor Buddhist items of worship. For example, joysticks and altars. So one day, I did. I obliterated everything I saw that was related to buddhism. And lastly, I ended up kicking one of the joysticks down the drain. I've always been skeptical about ghosts and spirits back then. So I never gave a horse ass about the consequences. That night when I went to bed, I asked my little baby brother to sleep with me. Because I love his cute face. I then fell into a deep sleep. Then, I woke up! I was aware of my surroundings, with eyes open, I looked round, my little baby brother was still awake, playing with his toy plane in bed. I couldn't move a muscle.
Terrified by this, I tried to yell at my little brother, but to no avail. I couldn't even move my eyes, I could only see from the sides of it. As I struggled, I heard this strange noise. The chime of the Buddhist ritual played during funerals. The chime gradually got louder. It wasn't like turning the volume up on a stereo, instead, it was like the source of the chimes were getting closer to me. Gradually getting closer and closer to me. I then thought about what I did earlier on in the day. Horrified by what might happen, I constantly begged for forgiveness (as a skeptic, it felt weird for me). Then, the sounds were really close to me as well as a deep BRRRRRRRRRRRRR sound I then heard a very creepy whisper on my right ear (my bro was on my left), and then POP. I woke up with full consciousness. Apparently, my little brother had hit my elbow, which jolted me back to consciousness. I found that I was sweating really bad.
After that night, I stopped having dreams. I couldn't explain back then, so I just let it be. And some nights, I'll get the same sleep paralysis again. I always feel the chinese lady in my presence. As if I killed her and she came to haunt me. I never saw anything, but I could feel it. And as I felt, I could see (It's an art thing I was born with, sound, taste, and feeling would give me an image of what I just sensed) the old chinese lady. She was short, had short white hair, and I could never see her face for some reason.
Again, I kept getting sleep paralysis. Always with unmentioned things going around. I know noises and images have been mentioned. But astral to physical touch wasn't. And I always had it. One night, I was sleeping alone in the living room couch, I heard and felt someone walking in, I felt safe until I KNEW I couldn't move. The person was sifting through the stuff behind the couch, and my position restricted me from seeing it. Then, I heard and felt it stop, a few seconds later, it quickly got to my head side of the couch (As if it knew I knew of its presence.) Then, I felt it poke my right cheek. POKE POKE POKE POKE. And for a few seconds, it stopped. I was broken free of the paralysis.
Another astral to physical touch was when I was sleeping in my sister's room for the first time in so many years. I fell into a deep sleep, and got a sleep paralysis. There was a night lamp on, so i could see things but not clearly. I saw a figure walking around a few steps then back. It was as if it was pacing back and forth. I could also hear a deep or strange... I don't know what tone it was, but it was speaking a strange language... Sort of like latin or a mix with ancient chinese. I never understood the language, but I somewhat understood it. I knew it wanted to do something to my body... Something to trick me to leaving and that thing would hijack my body while I get trapped in the astral world. It stopped pacing all of a sudden like last time, but this time, it pulled my ear really hard. Within a few moments I was free of my shackles. I quickly looked for it as I was brave enough to, thanks to the night light. No one was there. Not a single soul.
Sleep paralysis became so frequent to me, that it was almost like... I wouldn't bother anymore BUT NO. I still get the chills every time I get shackled. I also hear that strange language more frequently. It was as if someone was speaking in another room and you try to eaves drop. Sometimes I could even hear laughter, evil ones. Like this one time where it was during the Ramadhan period (I was born a muslim, and still was a muslim back then) And it was told that during that period, loose devils and spirits would be locked in hell for the whole period until Ramadhan ends. But I still heard laughter, and I still saw people walking, translucent shadows. My little sister was awake, doing her homework, I tried to call for her and tell her there are people in the house, but as usual, no avail. Soon, I could finally astro travel. I never knew the term for it back then, but I knew I was entirely scared the whole time. I saw my body sleeping for the first time without utilizing a mirror. I saw only shadows, it was a dark realm, as if I was at home but someone filtered it with dark lenses. I always ended up turning myself into a ball (metaphorically) and just hid in one corner to avoid the astral creatures. Which means I never left my house. I never explored. I was scared the whole time.
What I experience during a projection:
1. Sleep paralysis.
2. Low BRRRR or HUMMMMM noises gradually increasing.
3. I felt heavy, like I was sinking into my bed.
4. I could see dark figures, very translucent walking about, flashing.
5. I hear crumpling paper noises, or insects in my ear walking around as if my ear canal is their home.
6. I felt stretched.
As nights passed on, I soon forgot about the old chinese lady, as she never appeared in my sleep paralysis. I also started to lose it. Years later, now. I am 18. I started to experience sleep paralysis again. But now much more common. And having forgotten all that, I often quickly unshackled myself, as I knew how to do it really quickly through experience. Somehow, I always keep getting it. I get about 7-10 sleep paralysis nodes in tandem every time I ever get one in a night. It's as if someone in that other realm wants me to travel back like I did in my past. What I am doing now, is running from my old nightmares. or let's say, old problems. I never wanted to go back into that realm ever again.
But ever since that one day where I was mad at someone(crush reject), truly mad that all I wanted was the darkness. I covered the windows to my room, covered my bed frame completely with blankets and quilts. And I lay down on my bed saying I want the darkness. "The demons that crave the living. If you wish to become one of the living again, come to me. Come.... COME TO ME." I fell asleep, and I was intrigued, I had an amazing yet confusing dream. I've never dreamt in a really long time! (Or at least remembered one). The thing is, I woke up a happy person. I felt like there was no burden in this world. I felt like I loved everyone and didn't care if anyone ever hated me. I was the happiest person in the world. I listened to "Lovely Day by Bill Withers" to fuel my happiness.
And now I'm figuring out if I should visit the astral realm now, after so long. Is it a wise choice? To go back to the nightmares that scarred my childhood? I really have this urge to go back. Heck I don't even know if I really can anymore.
PS. I have something like a multiple personality disorder, just that I don't have memory loss from the transition somehow. But I don't think it affects my astral dreams. What I am concerned about is that I don't think it's really a personality disorder at all. Because nobody can talk to their alter ego but I could. But now I don't get the transition anymore, nor do I hear the other personality speak. hmm....
