Rafterman Posted September 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Kenny Biddle of the James Randi Educational Foundation does a series of field and controlled tests of the (in)famous K-II EMF meter in relation to "ghost hunting". So what did he discover? Well, while his results probably shouldn't surprise anyone, suffice it to say, the good old K-II really isn't all it's cracked up to be due to the fact that it's EASILY manipulated and continually plagued by false positives. Testing the K-II EMF Meter: Does it communicate with spirits? No. Direct experiments reveal how easy it is to manipulate one of the most popular “ghost hunting” devices and reveal that basic understanding of this gadget is clearly out of the range of "sciencey" ghost hunters. http://web.randi.org/swift/testing-the-k-ii-emf-meter-does-it-communicate-with-spirits-no And before anyone attacks the source, Mr. Biddle is pretty well respected by both paranormalists and skeptics alike: Kenny Biddle is a writer, photographer and investigator of paranormal claims. He is a photography consultant for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and gives training and talks on critical thinking and false-positives in paranormal photography.
