Cucumber found glowing in blue near Fukushima ............. Apparently

A Japanese citizen posted on an internet forum that his pickled cucumber was found glowing in blue on 7/30/2014.

The person doesn’t specify the location but states it’s in a prefecture near Fukushima. It looks glowing in the dark as well.

The cucumber was purchased 4 days before the posting.

Do scroll for all the pics!!

The Mutant Fruits & Vegetables 2 Years After the Nuclear Disaster of Fukushima

2 years after the disaster of Fukushima, the results are starting to show. Multiple weird mutant flowers, vegetables and even animals have appeared, and the results are not pretty. Check them out right here.

I don't doubt that Fukushima had some funny effects on the surrounding vegetation... it is just that living tissue (i.e. of a fresh cucumber) does not glow in the dark...regardless of how radioactive it is.

but the important question,

how do they taste?

I don't care about the taste, give me superpowers!

But I agree with several posters above me, seems fake.

Yup could well be a stunt indeed, as its a fairly new story it may be a few days before someone debunks the poster. If Id found glowing pickles MAN Id call everyone, incl the Dept of health!!

And I'm pretty sure that the Japanese Government advised folks not to grow a garden anywhere near ***.

Yep, but not due to radioactivity. If you want to build your own follow these instructions. Besides, if that picture is not faked it was made somewhere in the Caribbean where Pyrocystis fusiformis can be found in large quantities.

And before this gets to be a gigantic thread let me specify: living organisms don't glow in the dark due to radioactivity.
