" scientist in the middle of the ClimateGate scandal received economic stimulus funds last June.

As NewsBusters reported on November 28, Penn State University is investigating Professor Michael Mann, the creator of the discredited "Hockey Stick Graph," for his involvement in an international attempt to exaggerate and manipulate climate data in order to advance the myth of manmade global warming.

According to the conservative think tank the National Center for Public Policy Research, Mann received $541,184 in economic stimulus funds last June to conduct climate change research.

With this in mind, NCPPR issued a press release Thursday asking for these funds to be returned:

In the face of rising unemployment and record-breaking deficits, policy experts at the National Center for Public Policy Research are criticizing the Obama Administration for awarding a half million dollar grant from the economic stimulus package to Penn State Professor Michael Mann, a key figure in the Climategate controversy"

I guess this is to support the idea of man-made global warming and to help sell his green jobs initiative. whats strange is that most of the media isn't saying much about it.

Anybody notice that ever since Climategate was exposed these so-called experts have vanished from interviews?

Its like they disappeared from the scene.... <poof>

Regardless... when they return they've got some explaining to do... and a pile of money to return to taxpayers.

Steve McIntyre (and Ross McKitrick) is the person who debunked the Hockey Stick graph and exposed the Briffa reconstruction graph.

He is named numerous times in the climategate emails as the person who was raining on the so-called expert's parade.

Needless to say, 'they'... the 'team' didn't like Mr. Mcintyre because he was ruining their so-called 'undeniable science'.

In the emails he and Ross are generally referred to as M&M.

Whats sad is that many people still use data from him like Wikipedia. this guy has even changed climate going back to the MWP to the last little ice age.

Steve McIntyre has corrected alot comming from these so called scientists. if you read the e-mails

One need not wonder why there is no growth in the economy and there will be little if ever, Obama invested on their agendas they can't fund before like green this and that.
