Do you collect anything?

None of the above

Recommended Posts

I temporarily collect, don't keep: arthropods and small reptiles or amphibians. I always have jars or pill bottles in my car and purse. But I haven't done it as much this past year. But that will change, as we are in a new state with new habitats with new and interesting creatures. If I can't identify something I have to find out what it is.

I buy a postcard whenever I'm in a new city. My family & friends started bringing me back one whenever they traveled somewhere too, so I have a pretty good collection now. I'll probably put them in an album or something someday but for now they're just in a stack in my dresser.

I also collect sea glass, I have a small vase full of it. I love sitting at the beach and finding a piece hiding there. :)

Edit: I tried to post the sea glass pic but it won't show. It's hiding in my Flickr album (in my sig) if anyone really wants to hunt for it. ;)

LOL, so you let them go again? You don't have a collection of dead creatures in pill bottles? ;)

lol I wish. They're rare around here. I think I read once the blue glass came from medicine/poison bottles back in the day among a few other things. I do have about 10 now, but they are teeny tiny peices. :)

I collect music CDs, and travel souvenier glasses, coffee cups, magnets, postcards and seashells. Not really a big collection though.

I collect vintage Star Wars. If you recognised my avatar you might have guessed that, if you didn't recognise my avatar it probably wouldn't interest you... :)

I used to collect vinyl. But only Trance and other electronic music. I have some nice limited coloured vinyl. Some of them limited to 250 copies.

Stopped collecting though when Vinyl died in the clubbing scene. (well there is a few purists out there still)

I can't bring myself to sell them. lol

I have lots of collections.

This one is online, if you like unusual items take a look:

I have the worlds largest sea shell collection. I keep it scattered around all the beaches all over the world. Maybe you've seen it.

In case of a zombie invasion of course.

Mine is for scaring away rowdy teens from my street. :)

Note: I'll take a pic of my watches later. I only have a few at home, rest are with a nephew.

And I've found a picture of your X frame folder I think :)

You're in Malaysia? I've got some knives, daggers, Keris, swords from your part of the world. Great history of bladesmithing!

LOL, so we are watching 'The walking dead' the other night, and and I say to the mrs: "So if Zombies took over the world..."

At which point she stops we with: "No, I'm not going to tell you which of your swords I'd choose to fight Zombies"

Girls are no fun!

A good Machete is a tremendoucly effective multi purpose tool and weapon. You see a lot of old Sheffield and general military machetes that have been converted into ethnographic weapon types. Especially in Africa, you get some nice old ones rehilted with carved handles etc.

Even now they are often the 'sidearm' of choice for many.
