Duncan Booth was shocked to find a nest with two bright blue eggs on top of the battery in the JCB he was using to move stones at a site in Chorley. Mr Booth was preparing the Withnell site for the building of a canal-side cafe when he noticed the bird's home. He thought he must have scared off the mother, but when Mr Booth returned to the machine the next day, three more eggs had appeared.
