The episode just played again. The cops canvassed the huge area for about 2+ hours. They heard 4 howls that did not sound like "dog, elk, coyote, or wolf" or any animal they'd heard before. They smelled a rank odor near the cave "like old billygoat". The narrator said a bad odor often accompanies a skinwalker. They did not see any tracks or scratches or anything near the cave. The "eyes" are still cool looking. Maybe a huge wolf? I guess there is a small grey wolf population there, SW USA.

I found it interesting that the camera man found the eyes of a creature in a cave and no one took a shot. The Navajo cops were geared up better than most, but what I thought was interesting was the woman cop they talked to at first saying she sees them almost every morning play on one of the plateaus. No one's tried to find out more about them?

Also, I found it interesting the the Navajo Cops often do supernatural investigations as part of their mandate.

I missed that, I though she sees her dogs running around on the hillside after she hears howls.

And yes, skinwalkers and for some NA bigfoot is very serious business.

It seemed the cops in this episode were influenced by folkore and traditions too. The one officer or the narrator said nasty odors often accompany skinwalkers  and then one of the cops asked if the others smelled anything? So folklore, traditions, spiritual influence definitely plays a role with their cryptids and investigations, apparently.

Maybe tribal traditions forbid killing a skinwalker?  I have no idea.  I'm completely ignorant of Native American belief systems admittedly.

Very interesting and thanks for posting. There isn't a video or link included though. I'll do a search..

Edit: couldn't get the latest footage, but this is an old one. The four leggedness and white colourings are very similar to a Dartmoor beast footage from the UK imv.

Am I the only person who can see video footage of someone filming a dog while driving behind it? Posted Image

The four leggedness and white colourings are very similar to a dog, something like a border collie.  Seriously, it just looks like a dog running down a road at night.

And I sure as hell can't see anything sitting up and staring at the people in the vehicle with creepy eyes.  There's some blurry thing they drive past on the side of the road but it's too low-res and blurry to look like anything at all to me.

At this stage, it's genuinely hard to know if you are just pulling our leg, or if you actually think crappy video footage of a dog running down a road at night is some sort of shape-shifting cryptid monster.

I'm serious, lol. The footage clearly shows something *much* bigger than a border collie imo.

Who knows, Native American lore is a little different than European based lore. As I understand the Skin-walker is a witch-like person with the ability to transform into any animal so long at it has a pelt from that animal. I don't know how deeply the superstition is ingrained into the fabric of their lives. I've not spent a lot of time out in that section of the country but I think, if I could afford it, like to go out there and look around that area myself or do a ride along with the Navajo Cops when they head out to investigate some more. I could probably pick up some pointers from those guys on tracking too.

They said they found some footprints they didn't recognize on the show, but never showed any of them. So I have to wonder a bit.

Why do you think it looks "much bigger" than an average sized dog?  That's a typical looking narrow country lane and thus that's a typical sized looking dog.

The creepy eyes for me were in Navajo Cops"The Howler" episode on Nat Geo. From the OP. The "eyes" were seen in a cave.

Have to admit, those eyes were creepy, however I still can't get over no one checking it out further. Unless their going to let the BFRO boys come in and make the big discovery.

I know. That's the best anything I've seen yet. I should quit watching FB  and instead watch Navajo Cops. lol

Personally, if anyone is ever going to find the "Holy Grail" of Bigfoot evidence, I think it's going to be some average Joe who stumbles upon a body or a skeleton. Not the BFRO jokers shooting fireworks off in the woods and going around looking into old sightings.

Of course, Joe Average will probably find him or herself in the fore front of media and stuff like that. I just hope they can maybe make some money off the find and don't get horned out by the guys with vested interests taking over.

The cop car is the standard size to match it against. I judge it to be bigger than an average dog.

Thanks for the extra info. The smell aspect is common with this cryptid encounter.
