Defence experts say the weapon can reach speeds of between five and six times the speed of sound, meaning it could top 4,500mph. Russia's Husky-class nuclear submarines, which are still under development, will accommodate the new missiles. http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/653768/Russia-tests-HYPERSONIC-cruise-missiles-travel-SIX-times-speed-sound

bmk1245 Posted March 19, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2016 Well this is certainly good news for my deepening insomnia. Have you seen Russkies disassembling Su-24 black box, and what (its in Russian, partly, nevertheless, its a comedy gold)?..Western countries have to stop supplying Russia with technologies, and their "net analogov v mire" (no analogues in the world) will be just as their super duper stealth T-50 PAK FA (just few prototypes). TOG Posted March 22, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 22, 2016 They've already got the P-800 Oniks, but I guess sometimes you just gotta go faster? The poor old Harpoon is really showing its age, and the AGM-158 doesn't seem like a great replacement.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P-800_Oniks
