Agent X Posted December 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2010 Why should it matter if someone is religious or not? What is so important about everybody believing the exact same thing? Why can't we all believe different things?
Dr. D Posted December 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2010 Why should it matter if someone is religious or not? What is so important about everybody believing the exact same thing? Why can't we all believe different things? To common thought, yes. But believers do not think in common forms. Their way is openly described as the "only" way and without agreeing with them, you will be cast into fires for eternity. Maybe that's why they believe. Rocketgirl33 Posted December 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 23, 2010 Could you imagine just how utterly dull and unfrustrating the world would be if everyone beleived in the same god and the same things? Sounds like "Heaven" huh? Merry HO HO's!! Rocketgirl!!
Rock-Star Posted December 23, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2010 Why should it matter if someone is religious or not? What is so important about everybody believing the exact same thing? Why can't we all believe different things? In my humble opinion, it shouldn't matter, and we should not have to believe the exact same thing. As I've stated in another post, I feel one should live by their own convictions, and whatever "belief system" they find through this is what is right for that individual. What they should not do is try to enforce this belief on anyone else. To each their own I say. Unfortunately, I think that some get so caught up in their beliefs that they feel the need to "save" others by trying to convert them.
