Mass Production of DNA

As we enter a new era and we are constantly moving ahead in technology, things that were not possible are happening. On July 5th 1996 Dolly the sheep was born. Yes, as you know, cloning is not just in science fiction any more.

Human cloning falls in two main catagories. Therapeutic cloning and reproductive cloning. Therapeutic cloning clones cells from an adult to use in medicine. Reproductive cloning would make cloned humans. The process of both types are very complicated and takes time and money. Therapeutic cloning is activley researched, but reproductive cloning is highly illegal.

How do we know if there hasn't already been cloned humans? Federal money is not allowed to be spent on reproductive cloning, but some states have laws.

Ok, if federal money can't be spent, what is stopping some corporation from illegally making clones? It is possible. The government has hid many things from us. Does anyone know the real story of Area 51?

Just knowing the history of the U.S. and the corruptness of people in general, don't you think a mass production of clones is possible?

This is be a controversial topic, so please respect others' opinion.

colning a army of super clons is not as far fecthed as many may believe. it may cost millions or so. but it's not impossible.

make a mindless army of clones. you will need a doner. and you will need a massive facillity. as well as men and wemon to train them to kill. you can also speed up the ageing of the clones so that they are full adults who can kill a man with there bare hands.

if one would have a secret clone army. the could keep sending them to there deaths as one after another keep's entering the fray.

it would save alot of solders lives and replace them and cause a uproar and all. but that would happen first. no fear of dieing no nothing. just like starwars the clonewars movie.

but i am kinda aginst it. it's illogical. we don't got the food to feed that many people.

Plus these people would not be mindless. They would be like you and me. If you believe in a "soul" believe me they would have em. If you believe in "heaven" they would likely go there too! Cloning isn't some neat trick to make fleshy robots. It is away to organize genetic material to produce life.

Are you saying you have a "Real" story to area 51, the place where the military/air force could test aircraft in hopes other countries/hostiles wont see what theyre doing?

Or were you actually asking because you do not know?

But, as for this topic, what youre saying is a real general question which could apply to anything. What is stopping some corporation from spending money on time travel. What is stopping some corporation from sending subliminal messages to control peoples minds. Whats stopping some corporation from....You see what i mean. Its hard to answer your question. No one knows. It would just be an answer made up off the top of their heads.

I dont see why must they speed up the ageing process. If they are able to speed it up, will they be able to stop it right on the correct age? Cause if it takes 1 days for a clone to age a year , wouldn't it be shortening its life and just wasting money, because if its impossible to stop the ageing process why in the first place speed it up

I never have liked the idea of a copy of myself running around. We don't need to play "God."

To play god... Wow how immature of a concept. Not directed at you of course. Just to the redundancy of that statement. If you believe in god then you know god gave us free will a long time ago. Which is permission to create.

Why would he hinder us from that process in our development. If it's a soul you are worried about, well then just assume god will provide one for you. I doubt god would get jealous.

Were not playing "god". Were playing the evolution of human beings.

I do not think the US (or any other government or corporation) has the capability to mass produce human clones. Such a project would cost many many billions of dollars and involve many thousands of researchers.

While I think we have the technology to accomplish this with dedicated research money and perhaps 5 or 10 years of study, I don't think it is economically practical.

If the US (or any other government or corporation) wants an army of ruthless killers, they don't have to resort to cloning to get them. Just ``import'' child soldiers from the Congo.

If you read the bios of some of these warlords (like this one, for example) you'll see that murder, rape, and even cannibalism are no problem for these people.

Right now Col. Qhaddafi has probably employed at least some foreign mercenaries to kill his own people.

To get a these warlord militias into the US would be very tricky and pretty expensive, but I still think it could be done for a couple of million dollars (as opposed to the billions that would need to be spent on getting a clone army).

As depressing as it seems, humans don't need to be mindless clones to be capable of committing mass murder upon command.

In other words, I'm saying that we don't need replicas of ourselves. Do you realize how complicated it could get?

Lots of things could get complicated, doesnt mean its wrong or "playing god".

So, im sure some others would think we dont need replicas of ourselves, but i dont see the real issue of doing it.
