Ryan Lanza's brother is the suspect.

Quote

Multiple news outlets are now reporting that the Hoboken man previously identified as the killer in today’s fatal Newtown, Conn. classroom shootings is in fact the brother of the suspect.

A former Jersey Journal staff writer said earlier that he had spoken to Ryan Lanza – first reported as the shooter – and Lanza told him that his brother was the shooting suspect.

News outlets are now naming Adam Lanza, Ryan’s brother, as the suspect in today's shootings, which left nearly 30 dead, including the shooter.

I just saw this on tv. Who breaks into an elementary school to shoot babies? What is wrong with people?

I will NEVER know how anyone can take a gun and point it at a child.. For  petes  sake that itself is insane

Boggles the mind doesn't it? It's like that guy we had here in the U.S. a while back, who shot himself and his two children. Because the police were investigating him over his wife's disappearence among other things involving child pornography and his father. I guess he was afraid of the police taking his kids away from him, so murder/suicide was the end result.

Pathetic and sad all at the same time..............

Gosh, yes...It seems to be usually how these tragic news stories go down.. The shooter 8/10 will shoot themselves ..

But I am not sure if that is what happened to the gunman that killed 20 children and 6 adults?   Did he too shoot himself?  Or did a cop shoot him?

When you hear of something so horrid like this, being a parent, you think of your own child who also attends elementary school

I am sure a lot of you who are not yet parents  can reflect on loved ones of your own too..

I hope the brother sues the every living hell out of the media. Not only does he lost his family, now they have people howling for his death. Bad enough they're forcing kids to relive the shooting on live tv. Bunch of vultures.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth a war, is much worse...A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

At the most recent press conference they just said the shooter was dead - wouldn't confirm what killed him.  20 children, 6 adults, the shooter.
I didn't sleep last night and woke up about an hour ago... I came here and learned of this tragedy.  I read most of the posts before turning on the TV.  Dear God.....
The end of the world DID come after all...at least for 26 families.  I pray that the Father of all light will comfort these grieving families as they stumble through this nightmare.  I cannot even begin to imagine the loss.  So many lives were ended today and for every one of them a few others have been ruined.  God help us all.

Imagination is the power in the turn of a phrase.

There is confusion over the shooter's identity. They don't think Ryan Lanza is his name.

Also, the mother was a kindergarten teacher. That means most of her children he killed were 5&6 year-olds. :(

I think his brother may be connected to the shootings
