A couple,... Never liked it though,... I guess its one of those "if you push it fast enough it will fly" things.

RCH vs FW.

I have no idea why, but thats the way it was at LGB back in the 90s. FYI (I can believe I just said that) A helicopter, especially the R-22 took some focus to master. As an instructor, I have seen grown men shead tears,... Seriously.

I can imagine!

Helicopters are a totally different bird, and  were, because of their two handed control mechanisms,  part of required training for all CDRs and LM pilots.  Gene Cernan dumped one in the Banana River on 1-23-71.  Got through it without losing his life, or his Apollo 17 command!

Yea, you've gotta push a fixed wing fast enough to make it generate enough lift to fly.  A roatary wing, well...you know, it spins and gwenerates lift...no one ever has to push a chopper to make it fly!

This is all too true Mid ! my first rotor-wing was a Bell 47 and at the ripe old age of 17 the thought process was one cannot die doing something one loves right ?
Well it scared the who-gyspy outta me until you get the hangle of the dangle !
But anytime one breaks the bounds of earth gravity ITs nothing but a ride to remember ! Now to get me back to Sweetie and some real flying ! :tu:
