Still Waters Posted September 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2013 An armadillo the size of a Volkswagen, a crocodile bigger than a bus, a six-ton mastodon and a sabre-toothed tiger walked the earth in prehistoric Latin America, palaeontologists believe. Traces of the fearsome creatures have been found in Venezuela, where oil companies' surveys of the fossil fuel-rich soil have unearthed a wealth of fossils. Remnants kept by the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research date from 14,000 to 370million years ago, presenting the tantalising prospect that man once hunted for the megafauna. http://www.dailymail...ts-believe.html
Timothy Posted September 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2013 An armadillo the size of a Volkswagen I'm sure he/she'd be cuddly! It's amazing, the comparison to todays' mammals.
