How Urban Legends are seen as..

For those who have local urban legends that you all keep up with, what's the community's responses to them? What do they all think of the said legends? Is there a lot of teasing about them, or are they ever taken seriously?

I'm working on a story that goes behind the urban legend, and I'm just looking for what others think behind them :)

I think it is interesting that isolated communities with seemingly no communication are subject to the same urban legends. I think it would be interesting to find out if there is a correlation with urban legends and the rise of mass media entertainment.

Hmm. That's an interesting thought Ans.

I'm looking at what the locals would be thinking of the said urban legend.

Some people see them a just jokes and entertainment. While other claim they are real that they have encountered the monsters.

One thing is for certain they are quite interesting indeed !

Attack of the Butt Spiders migrating to the U.S. in airliner bathrooms and lurking under public toilet seats everywhere. This legend was started as a prank e-mail.
