Kenemet Posted June 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2015 A professional hairstylist is making the academic world sit up and take notice by recreating hairstyles found on statues - hairstyles formerly believed to be wigs. On her journey to prove her concept, she submitted articles to professional journals and has been published by them. http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424127887324900204578286272195339456
bubblykiss Posted June 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2015 I too wear my hair in the ancient fashion. It is long and run through with twisting ringlets that swirl and curve along my bearded plains enfolding my overly smiley mug with a natural frame of living mouse brown glory. I could vanish into a CSA Army of 1863 or a Swedish raiding party in 832 or an Anglo-Saxon Mead Hall in 617 or just about any college campus in 1971, well other than the Hawaiian shirts, cut off shorts and presence of general dental hygiene. Especially not on college campuses.
KariW Posted June 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2015 Very interesting! It kind of reminded me of the cool hairstyles that was recreated in Mel Gibson's Apocalypto. I thought the face decorations, body piercings, and hairdos of the Maya were one of the most fascinating parts of the movie!
