In August of 1964, just more than 50 years ago, author Isaac Asimov wrote a piece in The New York Times, pegged to that summer's World Fair.

In the essay, Asimov imagines what the World Fair would be like in 2014 - his future, our present.

Pity the author of that story went off on a bit of a rant about how humans are destroying the Planet rather than talking about the story it's supposed to be talking about, isn't it.

Why read some idiot's blog when he starts out by linking you to a much better author?

Asimov's essays are always good reading.
