Clinton:War on Terror has made us safer

Hillary Clinton thinks the War on Terror has made us safer. During the last Democratic presidential debate Hillary Clinton said this about the War on Terror:

'And I have seen firsthand the terrible damage that can be inflicted on our country by a small band of terrorists who are intent upon foisting their way of life and using suicide bombers and suicidal people to carry out their agenda. And I believe we are safer than we were. We are not yet safe enough' - Hillary Clinton,June 3,2007

I actually watched the debates Sunday night and, you know, that was probably the first time that she ever said anything that I totally agreed with 100%.

I really didn't like the way they ran the "debates" though. In one istance Edwards was given like two minuteds to answer a question and the rest of the panel was allowed something like five seconds. They would actively cut the other people off! They would alert Clinton, Obama and Edwards that thheir time was up but, would let them keep right on talking. The other canidates were just SOL when it came to explaining their positions on complex issues. You could deffinately see who CNN's "darlings" were.

It'll be interesting to see if they do the same thing to the Republicans. I wonder if they are going to give Ron Paul all the time he wants or are they going to favor someone else?

Probably a good thing in that case. The more he speaks the more silly the democrats sound.

Regarding the creature clinton... She knows she has to sound half sane regarding the "war on terror" to stand the slightest chance... But the country knows her too well... She is the quintessential politician in the worst sense of the word. Too blatently phoney, too many tantrums of hysterical rage and too many other demonstrations of the wrong stuff. Besides, she looks like what she is, and that is not presidential.

I thought it has been known she was/is a clear supporter of the 'war on terror'. ^_^

The country is safer..but not because of the war in iraq...but because of the behind the scenes work; of the CIA/NSA...they have a handle on these terrorists...the war in iraq just makes there job tougher..

CNN had an audience panel which voted Edwards the clear winner in that debate. I think they stacked the deck with Edwards supporters. But Clinton seemed angry and sort of PMS. She is all over the place, pandering to any crowd that will listen. Just like her husband, she will have poll groups decide where she stands on issues.

They did cut off the other candidates unfairly.

LOL! Very true, she flat out doesn't look like someone I would trust, either. I remember her telling a group of Jewish women that she was Jewish too. Shortly there after, while talking to a black womens group, she claimed that understood the plight of black women in America because, she had experienced it too.

What is even worse is her screeching voice. She sounds like some old women yelling "I've fallen and I can't get up!".

In all truth now, ask yourself this one: If a wife catches her husband cheating on her REPEATEDLY and isn't woman enough to tell him to get lost, do you really think that she is woman enough to lead the most powerful nation on Earth?

Clinton. Spoken like a whore-monger that is above the laws that abridge civil liberties for everyone else. Seems like old Bush has rubbed off on him, with those tours they do together around the country. And I remember, at the start of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, when Clinton was critical of it all. The war on terror is working, because the slogan fit for a bumper sticker, makes us think our surrender of our rights and freedoms, makes us part of that working effort too.

"If I have to surrender some of my rights and freedoms to feel safe in this country, I'm ok with that" Anonymous

How does becoming like one's enemy, keep them safe from that enemy!? Or rather does it engender contempt, that we're so weak, when threatened, that we'll lock down our own rights and freedoms we're told the enemy hates us for having, just to show we're really patriotic deep down. I can tell an idiot makes national policy a spin game. Because in his head, that makes sense. They hate us for our freedom!

So that must mean they love us like a brother now.

Yep. That's why they're cutting off the head of our soldiers. Because the war on terror is working.

The war on terror is a ruse. Our national rights and freedoms, are the target of the terrorists right here at home.

When one sees Hillary they see Bill lurking in the background. Round two, as it were. I wouldn't be surprised if she did take the Democratic nod all the way to the Oval. Republican wise, I can't imagine who actually , at this point, has a chance.
