I just wondered if the security guys from Wembley are the same people as ¨pigglet's secret service guys (pigglet is the nickname French people give to the French pres)
here is the news

I agree with a lot of what you say, I but in the UK gun crime is a lot lower than the US.

I do however think that people should be allowed the right to own defensive weapons if they want to. If the reason for not allowing it is to stop gun crime well that's rubbish in my opinion as any nut job will find a way to get a gun even if it is ilegal. That has happened before in the UK.

I personally would own a gun if we where allowed in the UK.

Sorry, but the last nutjobs in Europe organizing a massacre had all legal guns. And one of those massacres led to the absolute abolishing of private gun ownership in the UK (The Dunblane School massacre). As far as I remember there was no similar gun related incident after that.

Having said that: I would not go as far as in Britain, but I surely would advocate for all nut-jobs to have to turn in their guns while not having completed psychiatric care.

There has been similar, but since the hand gun restriction following Dunblane handgun crime as increased 10 fold (a ban doesn't affect criminals) though it's very easy to get a shotgun license and not that hard to get a licence for a firearm with a stocked barrel over 12" or hunting rifle gun crime is incredibly low with licenced owners in the UK.

When you think of fail, look at team GB.  9 billion plus to bring the games to London and we are 17th on the medal table.  It's looking like a home nation failure on the scale of Vancouver.

Say what? "Home nation failure on the scale of Vancouver?" Canada won the most gold medals that year. (Previous to that we hosted two other Olympics and never won a gold medal at home.)

We just forgot to bring the 'winter' to the Winter Olympics. Just as you guys forgot to bring the 'summer' to the Summer Olympics.

:tu: This did make me chuckle LG, that could be our biggest fail.

Its not been too bad so far (by our standards), I have been out to the 'Live Sites' most non-working days, when I have been at work though it has bucketed down. I think next week might be worse...
