It's all over USA now. There will be an increase in throat cancer in the coming years. GE should help everyone affected since they design the plant.

Probably more radiation in bananas then what all is in the air over here. And given the half life of it all...

When Godzilla arrives, I'll start doing this:

SilverCougar and aquatus1 are correct. The radiation from Fukushima is mainly airborne isotopes that only come from nuclear fission plants, so it is fairly easy to track, even though it is in trace amounts.

There are plenty of natural sources of radiation that are far more intense than the stuff from Fukushima that has percolated over here.

Remember: Chernobyl did not cause a statistically significant increase in the cancer rate outside of Belarus/Ukraine, and it released much more radiation than Fukushima has.

People really need to stop freaking out over accidents at nuclear plants. Yes, they are very serious. But even the worst one (Chernobyl) caused fewer cases of cancer (over a 20 year period after the incident) than die every year due to pollution from coal power plants in the US alone.

what if it is your loved ones drinking that water ? cancer even at 1% to the population is uncalled for. That one percent can be you.

You can get cancer from a lot of things. Even sex. Should we stop having sex? Eating various foods? Breathing?

Yes, it sucks.. yes it's uncalled for. But what's done is done and as I said, you get more radiation from a banana bunch then what's in the air from Japan now. Even more from your computers, cells and microwaves. Guess we should stop using those as well!

My loved ones don't drink rainwater. They drink water from a well. The radiation is strongest in rainwater because it is concentrated. By the time in gets into the water system, it is all but undetectable.

Even in concentrated rainwater form, it is still a pretty weak reading, and nowhere near the danger level for people. Don't forget that the regular level of exposure is pretty darn low, so much so that even a 79 PcLh increase, like that in the water, is still ridiculously low. A thousand times a tiny little bit is still a tiny little bit.

Oh no, we're doomed once again.

****

Still, look on the bright side, everyone will die of this before the NWO will be able to kill them all.

If my loved ones were drinking that water I would have absolutely no problem, because I understand some science and am not taken in my this sensationalist rubbish. Getting people to stop eating burnt toast would have more of an impact on cancer levels than this rain water...
