Senkoujin Posted August 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2009 (edited) Hey people, I've been experiencing some odd episodes in my life. It has happened before, and again, then again last night. I'd simply be doing something normal, but then all of a sudden, I'd get light-headed for no reason whatsoever. It would feel like I'm about to pass out, so I immediately start moving around to 'walk it off'. Between staying conscious and passing out, I see myself looking at my surroundings.....they become a bit unfamiliar and it seems as if I'm losing my grip on reality, as if everything is an illusion; it's frightening. The only way to alleviate this is to lay down. I feel as if my days of living are shortened, like these are signs of my impending death. What I'm hoping is that I'm just paranoid....but if that were the case, how the hell could I subconsciously cause such experiences to happen? >_< Edited August 4, 2009 by Senkoujin
The Silver Thong Posted August 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2009 Well if these symptoms are real I would go to a doctor asap. Kinda sounds like you might have virtigo or it could be more serious. Doctor today.

Sounds like you might be experiencing dehydration. My girl went through something very similar when she was put on medication for ADD which a side effect of...is dehydration. Go see a doc, but chances are you'll need to figure this one out yourself unless you see a highly skilled, competent doctor who actually cares more about his patients than billing insurance. Cadaver Posted August 4, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2009 Well i'd google those symptoms of yours, because whenever I have something wrong with myself, I do this and read on every possible thing that could be wrong, taking the most possible cases out of the bunch. If then you feel that something chronic may be happening with you, I'd visit the doctor. You should drink water though, because you may be dehydrated, such as Spidercyde suggested. Perhaps you're even lacking certain vitamins.
Delovely5150 Posted August 4, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2009 You know, Sen, that's exactly how I feel when I get attacked by insomnia and I have unbelievably long hours of sleepless nights and days. If the symptoms continue, I would see a doctor. You'll never know until you get checked up, right? Let's hope it's nothing serious.
Saru Posted August 4, 2009 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2009 If you have any concerns at all over your health or are experiencing symptoms and you don't know what's causing them then the best thing to do is seek the advice of your doctor, nobody here will be able to give you an accurate diagnosis. I'm going to close this as it falls under our 'medical advice' rule. 2i. Medical advice: Do not use the site to request medical assistance, you are always best to seek the advice of your doctor.
