Still Waters Posted October 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2015 Police have been told they are not allowed to wear a Union flag badge on their uniforms in tribute to colleagues killed on duty because it breaches regulations, it is reported. Officers in the Metropolitan Police were emailed to say they were forbidden to wear the patch - a black and white Union flag with a "thin blue line" through it, the Sunday Express said. http://www.telegraph...egulations.html
stevewinn Posted October 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2015 They can wear it, The e-mail as been sent by a over-sensitive person, - see this is one of the problems of modern technology, silly people can send e-mails to a wide audience: where back in the day they'd have to verbally communicate their silly ideas and thoughts, where they'd be struck down as silly in an instant and wouldn't see the light of day. but hey ho. Black Monk Posted October 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) I'm offended by the Rainbow Flag, yet that didn't stop Bolton Town Hall flying it today, for some reason. A couple of weeks ago the Transgender Flag was fluttering from it. It's disgraceful. Only the St George's Flag or the Union Jack should be flown from English town halls.
