I'd peg a few as being Babylonian and a few as piss-poor fakes.

Hi Abe,

  It's an interesting read,as to whether it's true or not remains to be seen.I don't know that using Van Dankin as a source is in their best interests though.

Von Däniken is not the source, as far as I know.

Hi Abe,

  I saw that several of the photos were credited to Van Daniken and that he is listed as one of the references at the end of the pdf, now it is possible that they were used as comparatives of fakes but that isn't clear to me in the presentation. I would sincerly hope that that is the case and that they used his material for comparison only to illustrate forgeries of antiquated material.It is to bad that these artifacts are not available for serious accredited study but who knows maybe one day.
  It was my not intent to cast a shadow over this find,it was just that I noticed that he had been mentioned in the article and I felt that it may have a negative affect on the value of the presentation.But it is a good find and would hope that it is valid.

This Father Crespi is interesting for a whole other story, but first the 'nice' things about him:

A week later, I’m on a bus coming up from the lowland town of Macas when an American missionary family climbs aboard.  I am happy to hold their son on my lap while we talk.  I ask what they know about Crespi.
After seeing his collections, they were as curious as I am.  Jean, the wife, found out from a local woman who is about 40 that he is an Italian count from a wealthy family.  He was already old when the woman was a child.  As long as anyone remembers, he’s been absent-minded and utterly selfless.
Once, people got together and had a new habit made for him.  When they presented it, he said, “Give it to someone needy.”  He went on in his tattered unwashed clothes, much to the disgust of the other priests who ostracize him for his eccentricities.  Another time, when he was walking in a procession, one of his shoes fell off and he went on without it, apparently oblivious.   They say he was married and had a son who died.  His wife became a nun and, for decades after they parted, he worked with the jungle Indians.
Apparently, at one time, he did have a collection of fantastic things.  A fire in 1963 destroyed the building and its contents.  He had already given away most of the authentic items to public museums and had copies made to keep, so some of those copies are on view now and he may have forgotten their real histories.  Who made the tin and plaster stage props remains obscure.
The people who love him don’t care.  In the municipal museum in Cuenca you can hold in your hands an authentic book printed here in 1682.  It doesn’t matter to his defenders that Crespi is confused.  He is said to be over a  hundred years old. Many believe he is a saint. All agree, he’s always been peculiar. He gave away huge huge fortune decades ago and some have not forgotten that generosity.

Däniken also wrote about a collection of gold objects held by local priest Father Crespi, who had special permission from the Vatican to make archeological research.[20] But an archeologist reported to Der Spiegel that, while there were some good pieces, many were just local imitations for tourists, and that Crespi has difficulty distinguishing brass from gold.

The Mystery of Father Krespi

In 1993, Father Krespi died, reportedly at the age of 90. More than 2000 people attended his funeral, which was marked with ceremony rivaling that of a King. He was laid to rest in a white marble sepulcher, which is still reported to be cleaned weekly, and adorned with flowers constantly, all paid for by anonymous admirers.

After his passing, some interesting things were discovered about him. He left behind millions of dollars worth of artwork. Magda and others later identified much of this artwork as belonging to the private collection of Adolph Hitler. Hitler was a known collector of art, and most of his private collection was never found after the war. Witnesses say that soon after the funeral on May 16 1993, two cargo jets were loaded with Father Krespi's art collection and departed. It has never been seen again.

The Chief of Police for the town of Cuence reported that what he termed as "teams of European men" invaded the small town the day prior to the funeral. Several attendees of the funeral were German, and had armed escorts.

Is it possible that the most evil man in the history of the world escaped justice and posed as a man of God for 40 years? We may never know, but it is something to think about...

Can't say I see any resemblance, but the angry shouting alone does come close, LOL.

I know it is fact that the cartilage of ears and nose keeps growing throughout one's life, but that alone doesn't explain the different shape of the nose.

I recently read an article about the single remaining fragment of Adolf Hitler’s skull being tested and being found to have belonged to a woman. With that in mind I was interested, though I’m not sure I believe it, when my friend told me the following story, about Hitler having heavy-duty plastic surgery and escaping to the Vatican in 1943.

She told officers after her surrender that apparently in the autumn of 1943 three men were brought, with their faces covered, to the clinic where her father was asked to provide sketches of the work he could do to alter the men’s appearance. She claims all was carried out with the utmost secrecy, no records were kept on the procedures and afterwards the men were to board a submarine. She claimed the identity of two of the men were Adolf Hitler and Martin Bormann. Further claims she made were that four other men had also been operated on, but these men had been made to look more like Hitler, with each having a similar build and appearance to him prior to being operated on. The inference being that these men would take the place of the ‘real’ Hitler who was supposedly about to be spirited away. Magda continued that once the procedure on the three had taken place and they healed and left, two weeks later the SS conducted a raid and her father and brother were killed and the clinic was burnt to the ground while she was drafted into the German intelligence services. The three men separated and ‘Hitler’ apparently found his way to the Vatican and later to a small town in Ecuador where he was encountered by a retired US army Colonel, Wendell Stephens, in 1981. Stephens was convinced that the elderly priest he’d met was Adolf Hitler but, completely unsurprisingly, no one would believe him.

By 1981 Stapleford was dead and Stephens visited Magda convincing her to go to Ecuador with him to visit this Father Krespi. Once she had she too was convinced as she apparently recognised in his face the features that her father had sketched out in ’43. Another detail, she said, was that Krespi had a piece of artwork in his home, which had hung behind Hitler’s desk in the Reich Chancellery. Apparently Krespi had entered the Vatican in autumn 1943 and had worked his way up from novitiate to fully-fledged priest where he was out in charge of looking after the rather sizable art collection owned by the Vatican. Krespi was said to have spoken fluent Italian with a perfect accent with Magda saying that Hitler’s mother had come from Italy and spoke it as her first language. Anyway, in 1956 Krespi was moved to Ecuador and stayed there, dying in 1993 age 90. Villagers in the town were said to have reported father Krespi being visited throughout the years by German men and he apparently was very generous to his congregation, frequently giving them his own money.

Interesting idea but since Hitler was born in 1889 he would have been 104, not 90, as claimed in the story.
