Us Brits don't like anything left to waste and don't like storing things to excess.
It's only Christmas,New Year and when friends come to stay that we go mad with food and drink.
However we've got one of the American style refrigerators.
One of my sisters pet hates is me causing scratches with the waste bin.
I wonder if anybody's got the same obsession with keeping the exterior pristine.
Tbh the outside isn't   the problem but the condition of the inside.

Holidays! When I used to wish I had a second refrigerator!
(though not so now, all family and friends live too far away and our guest list is much smaller)

I think my fridge currently contains:

I bottle wine
I litre bottle ginger beer (soda)
I litre bottle lemonade
Some cheese
Butter (well, buttery spread actually)
2 or 3 jars of sauces etc
Bacon
And a drawer full of vegetables

I've run out of milk ......

But living and working in a small town, I tend to shop on a daily basis.

Interesting. If we looked in the frig and the above list was all we saw we'd say. "We need to go grocery shopping! There is nothing to eat!" But I don't know if it's psychological or a valid assessment of the situation.

They aren't big into ice either, which takes up a lot of room in ours. Order a drink and you might get three small ice cubes in it. Ask for extra and they'll give you another one.

Yes, we have lived in a lot of different homes. Some places the water is great, others, like here, yuck! The cheap bottled water I like is probably just tap water from somewhere.
I drink almost exclusively water (and a mocha frappe maybe 3 x a week ) and a good bit of it, so taste matters to me. But we know it is a waste and have been talking about getting a filter system.

That reminds me to do a stock take of my own fridge.
I believe I've got loose chips in the freezer compartment and I'm not talking ice.
A bottle of whisky on the top shelf.
What little vegetables we've got are in the meat section.
There's a complete dearth of anything that looks like it could be made into a meal.
We've also got the customary pint of milk,seafood sauce,grated cheese and some Lurpak.

Tbh your fridges content looks princely in comparison.
But we've getting a big buy-in on Saturday to compensate.

Wow, we could never eat all that could hold by the expiration date! That looks institutional size, but I've seen some large ones like that in homes, but usually half is a frig and half is a freezer. I can see stocking a large freezer.

Last time i cleared out my freezer there was peas all over the place, I do not even like peas!

You havn't seen where I've stored the absinthe.
I've got a heavy drinking spree planned if things go pear-shaped.

Btw I've spotted a frozen jar of Korma sauce and a loose Yorkshire pud.
If you can do anything with those two items it'll be some recipe.
Just mind your teeth with the glass splinters.

We have a refrigerator/freezer in the kitchen, one in the stockroom and a big upright freezer, but we entertain a lot.
