Bearly Posted October 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2006 Sometimes it helps to write out a prayer, it feels stronger sometimes that way. I use do go online and post a prayer on a St. Jude thread, although I'm not Catholic, just because it was the only place I could find to post one. If you want to post a prayer, this is the thread to do it. Bear in mind this is a positive thread for people of all religions, so please show some respect for the prayers of people that are not of your religion of choice. Bearly Posted October 27, 2006 Author #2 Share Posted October 27, 2006 Dear heavenly creator, may the people of different religions learn to put aside their differences and walk the path of peace and may the people who have given up hope and have no one to pray for them be blessed and consoled. Thank you for the blessings you have give to me. Amen.
brave_new_world Posted October 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2006 (edited) I like this for a prayer by a sufi woman saint: God,if I worship Thee in fear of hell, burn me in hell. And if I worship Thee in hope of Paradise, exclude me from paradise; but if I worship Thee for thine own sake, withhold not Thine everlasting Beauty. --------Rabi'a Edited October 27, 2006 by brave_new_world
SilverCougar Posted October 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2006 Rich health, tranquility, good energy flow, these I conjure to be mine. Strength and peace and quietude until the end of time. Fluid motion to my joints and clarity of mind. Strenth to bones and flex to muscles, I clame these, too, as mine. Energy -- unboundless force -- alertness to my brian, Endless inspiration flow where no ideas have lain, Great knowledge of my higher self and balance to my life I claim these, too, to be my own as Sun and Moon both shine. Preacherbill Posted October 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2006 I pray for respect for the questions people ask and honoring those who share their feelings. I pray for healing for all those filled with hate. I pray for healing for all those who may have been hurt in their past, may their suffering be lessoned. In Jesus holy name and all Gods people said. Amen
Fluffybunny Posted October 27, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2006 Firefighters Prayer When I'm called to duty, wherever flames may be, give me the strength to save some life Whatever be it age. Help me embrace a little child before its too late, Or save an older person from the horror of that fate. Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout, and quickly and efficiently to put the fire out. And if according to your will I lose my life; please bless with your Protective hand My children and my wife.

zandore Posted October 27, 2006 #8 Share Posted October 27, 2006 (edited) PRAYER FOR THE WHITE MAN And now, Grandfather, I ask you to bless the White Man. He needs your Wisdom, your guidance. You see, for so long, he has tried to destroy my people, and only feels comfortable when given power. Bless them, show them the peace we understand, teach them humility. For I fear they will someday destroy themselves and their children, As they have done so Mother Earth. I plead, I cry. After all, They are my Brothers....... Bearly Posted November 18, 2006 Author #11 Share Posted November 18, 2006 (edited) Some beautiful prayers everyone. Thank you creator for the good things in life that i have. I have food on the table, a roof over my head, a warm bed to sleep in, friends and family members that care about me, and many other things to be thankful for. For those who have less than I, may they recieve an abundance of blessings and their sorrows be comforted. May all of mankind continue to progress into a higher state of consciousness in this life and beyond and embrace peace. May all of mankind realize the sacredness of life on this planet and learn to live in harmony with it. May the bad actions in the past be acknowledged and forgiven, for as Zandore has stated in his posted prayer, we are all brothers and we need to learn to live as such.
