Cher believes in life after ... death -- claiming ex-husband Sonny Bono's ghost not only lingers around ... but still pulls pranks on her!

When asked about her thoughts on ghosts during a recent AMA (ask me anything) on Reddit ... Cher confessed she's a hardcore believer -- 'cause Sonny still messes with her from beyond.

"I actually think that Sonny makes a light go on (in the house)" Cher revealed, adding, "I have a beautiful chandelier that he makes the light go on when it is impossible, there is no power on."

It's possible Cher is telling the truth ... or she could just be nuts.

So, we gotta ask ...

Another possibility is Cher is doing a mass leg-pull.

They were soul mates. I have no doubt he watches over her.
When he died, Cher gave his eulogy,NOT his wife.
Cher was devastated when he died.

Miss me?

Which might explain her fantasy, if that is what it is.

If one believes the soul goes on, then ghosts are not that far fetched.  Celebrities are just like the rest of us and have an opinion, except the news prints what they say,  whether they actually said it our not.    I would replace that switch, though, just in case there is a short.

She may actually believe that Sonny in indeed a ghost. She then finds experiences to substantiate the belief. And, in doing so, she is able to retain, in spirit, perhaps the most influential person of her support network.

This statement from her cracks me up:

"I love ghosts, I prefer ghosts to some people."

Yeah, well, I prefer my dog to some people as well.

I suppose there are worse things that could happen ... but I can't think of any off-hand.
