Looking for advice... Ghost Hunting

Hey guys -

I was seeking for some advice in the Paranormal field if there is any experienced investigators here. I run a group called LIGHT on Long Island, NY. I been doing heavy research everywhere. The places I come up with are mainly a place of business that were abandoned or a place that is still running for business. I haven't run into any residential homes yet.

My questions is this... is there a method or tactic anyone uses when they try and get a contact or person from a business to give you permission to investigate? I have run into some resistence, not a lot but some. I was just curious if anyone has their own tactics or methods to see if mine isn't working. I try and stay as professional as possible on he phone and with a pleasant voice. I just feel like sometimes they aren't taking me seriously which is why Im running into places that aren't interested.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it...

Thanks

Matt

im not a ghost hunter even tho i have tried it a couple of times. I would forget being profesional and just be yourself and honest. Let them know you are interested in investigating the place and if there is a way that you could. Keeping a serious face explaing that you wanna look for ghosts will probably make them have a good laugh afterwards since some people dont have a open mind to these things.

Tell them they might end up on tv. If it's a business offer free advertising as incentive. :tu:

I agree with Coldethyl on this one, as most bussinesses would love free advertising, in any way.
