just read the headline New homes to be built on flood plains. and guess what when these homes are built inevitably at some point in the future they'll be flooded. not because of climate change but because they were built on flood plains.
See and people complain about it flooding. why did you live on a flood plain. Its like in pakistan alot of flooding is in flood plains. It happenes in Austrlalia we have a big bit of really flat land that takes forever to drain if it floods. In jan/feb (sometime) it flooded and in april they were still complaining about how much water there was. Yet they hd been in drougt for 15 odd years. You take a risk building your house or renting a house in an area prone to disaster. Yes it may be a once in 50 yrs event but it will still happen.
If it was the biggest such event EVER recorded, i would have been interested.
Stole my words. On the news this morning they said the cracks were there for many months and that this was expected to happen. What people were all shocked about was the size thats it. But then because it was so big could those cracks have forming beacuse of the weight. What im trying to say is that it broke off because its so darn heavy.
