Regi Posted October 8, 2012 #41 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Adam-12, and Emergency! were favorites. I also liked Monday Night At The Movies or Tuesday Night At The Movies, or what ever it was called...Movie of The Week, maybe..? Anyway, those movies always seemed to be good dramas or were suspenseful. Duel with Dennis Weaver is one that sticks out! I liked Shazam and Isis- primarily Isis on Saturday morn., after Scooby Doo, of course. On Sunday mornings, I liked Davey and Goliath. Family Theater came on Sunday afternoons. Usually, the movie was a thriller which I always looked forward to, but occasionally they'd show a comedy and if it wasn't something with Abbott and Costello... I'd be very disappointed.

It just seems television was so much funner in my formative years up til my adolescence.

buckskin scout Posted October 9, 2012 #46 Share Posted October 9, 2012 Network television has sold its soul to tawdry reality TV and talent shows. I watch really no network television anymore.
Professor T Posted October 9, 2012 Author #47 Share Posted October 9, 2012 Network television has sold its soul to tawdry reality TV and talent shows. I watch really no network television anymore. I cannot agree with you more. Television used to be exciting, entertaining, the shows were origional and thought provoking.. Now, it's all about making the most money for the least cost, and everything else including uniqueness and inspiration has gone out the door.
Tutankhaten-pasheri Posted October 9, 2012 #48 Share Posted October 9, 2012 (edited) Guest from the Future, Soviet sci-fi series from 1984, still much loved. This is a compilation video with the song "Wonderful Future" from the final episode Edited October 9, 2012 by Atentutankh-pasheri

Tutankhaten-pasheri Posted October 9, 2012 #50 Share Posted October 9, 2012 Russian! ^^^ Awsome, spasiba!! spasiba!! Here's another good one I remember.. Mysterious cities of Gold. спасебо! What I like about these old shows is the positive titles, like this one you posted, or The Tomorrow People etc. New shows seem vacuous and nihilistic even by comparison. Perhaps back in the days when we faced nuclear war, we had put on a happy smiley face and at least pretend there would be a "Wonderful Future"....
