Your Birthday In History

I arrived on April 14th. Considering that Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on that day and depending on where you were with reference to the international date line the Titanic also sunk, I am but a grain of sand on any beach.

Besides a lot of various war related things (wow, this world has far too much warring going on), on the exact date of my birth, an Iranian suicide bomber blew up the Beirut International Airport with a truck bomb.

On a lighter note, I learned another musician who I share my birthday with besides Weird Al: former Ozzy Osbourne, and current Metallica, bassist Rob Trujillo. We should form a power trio.

1969 - 1st flight of Concorde 002 -- more airplanes on my b-day. haha

My birthday is in early April, so naturally, there is a TON of baseball "firsts", in fact, it appears that in 1909, the first major league baseball game was played on my birthday. There are also Stanley Cup championships, PGA wins, soccer team expansion announcements... The only really interesting war related thing to happen on my birthday was the surrender of the south in the American Civil war.

Not too many interesting people share my birthday though. The only really noteworthy(?) one is ... Hugh Heffner. LOL. Oh and I guess Dennis Quaid. haha.

My boyfriend has the epic historical birthday.... July 4th, US Independence Day. Everyone in the USA gets the day off of work to go blow crap up with illegal fireworks sold to us by Native Americans. haha.

the most important historical event to ever take place on my birthday was the Beatle's 2nd appearance on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. I was twelve.
