Are 51 is most likely something much more than an alien autopsy center or any of the other choices. alien.gif

I believe that all the facts point to it being a secret base where the Americans are developing new technologies, mostly to do with planes/aircraft of war. They want to keep it secret for a GOOD THING, so that other countries can't snoop in and see what the Military is coming up with. All the US citizens are doing by trying to uncover what is at Area 51 is just making the US governments job at protecting it's people that much harder.

Secret Air Base, Nothing more.

Area 51 AKA Groom Lake test complex is the launching and landing strip for the testing of new military aircraft and other weapons systems. It is operated by private contractors such as Lockheed martin, Boeing, Lawrence Livermore Labs and a few others. The test facility also includes the Nellis test range, (attached to Nellis Air base just outside of Las Vegas NV.) The Tonopah test range and the Indian Spring Air base, just south of the entrance to The Nevada test site.

The reason for all the secrecy is two fold. One: to avoid satellites from photographing the area and it’s testing. And two: to keep curious Americans from accidentally photographing new aircraft before official release. (As happened when the Aurora Model Company released a version of the Stealth fighter)

I agree completly with Stillcrazy. It is most likly just a weapon and aircraft testing base. If it hid aliens I dont think it would be so widly known, they would switch it's location to some other point leaving you staring at an empty base.

Exactly. Maybe A51 was an alien autopsy/reasearch base in the past, but with all the hype I'm sure they made it a decoy base just for testing prototype aircraft now. The real top secret base is the one we dont know about wink2.gif

I just based my opinion on a little first hand insight.

Photo removed due to I looked really bad back then.

I'm not sure what it's all about, but I know it's more than a alien autopsy center. I seen mant stories off of various websites saying many legendary creatures such as the El Chuacabra wer created there. They were supposily created to help us out, but were experiments gone wrong. I'm not sure if I beleive that, but anything is possible. abduct.gif

I gotta go with still crazy. The U.S. is soooo protective of its future millitary projects, this is the way they are with all of there bases. I used to live in this valley, and on the tallest mountain you could see, there was this this box- like building on the peak. It must have been HUGE to be able to see it from my old neighborhood. Anyways, we always wondered what it was, but we only knew it used to be an old air base. One day my brother and a friend decided to drive all the way up there just to see what it was. They were turned away by a couple of guys some where along the way, giving some kind of lame excuse- I forgot what it was, I'll have to ask him. He said that they were dressed in civilian clothes, but that he could tell from they're stiffness and the way they talked and walked that they were from the millitary. And that they were probably carrying guns. I dunno if this is just some big joke or if there is really something going on up there.

The odd part is that when I pictured you, it was extremely close to the photo you posted...

Yea I was young and good looking back then. But I got a nice email asking that I remove it, even though it expired more than ten years ago. What can ya do. The DOE gets really touchy when it comes to stuff like that.

But I'm glad I fit your idea of what I'm supposed to look like.

I think that the US would gain an awful lot more respect from people if they said "Yes it exists, yes we're testing classified stuff here, no we can't tell you what".

All of the above and more (storage of some kind)

I think i have to agree with stellar,

nothing more than a decoy base
and if they are doing alien autopsies or anything else then they would do it in a base which no u.s resident knows about

The only type of conspiracy I oculd imagine going on at a base like this is research into faking paranormal phenomenon. Fear is a tool the military loves to use, and fear of the unknown is a potent weapon.

so if you wanna believe in conspiracies, believe this is the place where they find techniques to like the one used to make the mexican government believe an alien craft was flying next to theirs.

but I don't usually subscribe to that, so its just a testing facility, nothing more, nothing less. I don't blame the government from keeping people out, gotta keep an edge on teh competition.

What would America be without stories of its mighty military working with aliens? This is hype - to keep hype going you have to feed it.

I hope that when the aliens do come and talk to us all, they do it without joining the governments of the world. Why would they? If they can get here from a distant planet then I am sure they know the earthly governments are not to be trusted.

A story that still blows me away is the radio broadcast of the War Of The Worlds in 1938 by Orson Welles and his Mercury Theater. This kind of stuff really shows how naive humans are.

4dplane society was naive like that at one time. I believe we are ready now for disclosure.

We have come along way since the War of the Worlds.

In order to prove this we must not sensationalize things unwarrantedly, and we must inform those that fear this type of destabalization that its ok and we will help them through it.

As far as Area51 goes I would like to know all its secrets, but in the same breath I also believe that any government has the right to such secrets. Secrets such as Area51 are an essential part of national security and preservation. When that security starts to hinder progress, example: if a cure for a terminal disease is there, then disclosure or partial there of must take place.

Also I read once that there is equivalent to a 40 story office building located inside that mountain at Area51. I can't seem to find a link to said allegation so if someone could help me with this info it would be greatly appreciated.

I have kind of an interesting story.

I'm in the Air Force. On a routine training flight this past Thursday I got into a conversation with my instructor about the Nellis Test Range, and the SUA's (special use airspace) that surround it. The SUA around groom lake is box-shaped, ando bordered on the east by the range used in the Red Flag exercises. crossing over into the prohibited area around Groom lake is not allowed under any circumstances, even for U.S. fighters who may have an in-flight emergency and nowhere else to go.

My instructor then relayed a story he'd heard (from another instructor) about a Red Flag flight that had accidentally crossed over into that SUA. Allegedly, upon landing, they were met by men in civillian suits who ordered them to get on a plane and returnm to thier home base. These civillians had already gone to the flyer's hotel and picked up thier luggage.

Now this is a crazy story, if for no ohter reason than no military pilot is going to take orders from some mysterious civillian unless he has 1. Proper Credentials, and 2. a new set of orders allowing him to return home.

I had some suspicions about this story, so my instructor told me to ask the origniator about it. I did. Here is the real story.

A pair of RF-4 recce aircraft were flying in the Nevada Test Range under less than optimal conditions (thunderstorms) when they got lost. They we also flying low level. At one point the came up over a ridge line, and below them was a large air field and a bunch of buildings. The crews now knew where they were, and also knew they were probably in deep sh**.

Upon landing at Nellis they were greeted by SP's and others, who removed the film cannisters form the aircraft and destroyed it. They were then ordered to report to the two-star who ran the base. After signing some non-disclosure agreements they were put on a plane back to Shaw AFB. SO far as I know, they didn't get in any trouble.

This last story sounds a litle more feasible, and what I would expect to happen if you crossed any prohibited area.

Also, evidentally, things are loosening up in the Nellis test Range, and during the preflight briefs at Red Flag, the allegedly say something to the effect that "if you have an emergency you could probably land at Groom Lake, even if there is no field listed.

I thought this was interesting and just goes to show how rumors and legends get started, even among those who work very close to that environment.

We as a planet have a long way to go. 1938 War of the Worlds, this is only 66 years ago. There are people still alive on the planted from 1938. Grandparents - parents of the working class today.

War Of The Worlds was an extreme case because it happened fast and involved a lot of people at once. But to describe it again, I would say that it shows how easily we believe what we hear; and to disperse a message to a wide audience at the same time, so they can further perpetuate it among themselves is where the danger still lies.

So then disclosure would then need to be done responsibly in view of those facts.

Lets say the Govrnm't used technology as a means of disclosure.

Where they would display a superior technology to the point of mass speculation of extraterrestrial visitations. They would then spin this and show that the craft, or example of technology, was actually their own.

Upon releasing this new innovation they also profess that the technology was reverse engineered from crashed alien UFOs.

This would be better, because the govrnm't would be saying "Look, its O.K"

"We found it, Studied it,Mastered it, and can now use it" This would show control over an unknown, as apposed to saying "Yes there are UFO's there , but we know not what they want" as this would create more fear and rumor.

There are way more people ready for disclosure than those that are not, it would then be the duty of the prepared to assist the unprepared.
