barbco196 Posted February 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) There's this book; Weaveworld, written by Clive Barker. Sounds fascinating but I've never read anything authored by him. Hoping some can give me a quick review before I buy it?? Edited February 11, 2016 by barbco196

XenoFish Posted February 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2016 The only book I've read by him was The Thief of Always. It was really good. Didn't he do Candyman? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clive_Barker

Havn't read it before but the "Books of Blood" and "Hellraiser" were great! Those are the ones I'm familiar with also. Also Night Breed, I think.... I've never read the Weaveworld book(s?), though from what I just read, it seems a very interesting book. CrimsonKing Posted February 14, 2016 #13 Share Posted February 14, 2016 Honestly i like Barkers style better than Kings, don't get me wrong i like SK and have read most of his books but his material seems to always follow a similair path...One out of every 5 SK books is unique were Barkers are all twistedly different! Vlawde Posted February 14, 2016 #14 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I read Weaveworld many years ago. Honestly, I can't even remember what it was about. I know I read Nightbreed too, same deal. As I recall I just wasn't into his writing style. I like Stephen King a lot, although it's true that in many ways his books are all the same

Grube Posted February 20, 2016 #16 Share Posted February 20, 2016 Save the Earth! It's the only planet with chocolate! Glorybebe, personally, I am impatiently awaiting the return of the first manned Mars expedition. I am sick, sick, sick of these counterfeit chocolate bars they sell here on Earth, I want to get my tentacles around the real thing.
