last night's Ghost Hunters

<_< This one really puzzled me. :P i wanna stay is J's room!!!!! dude i'd have put a camera in there all day and all night.

not too convinced with the table and chairs. while grant couldn't really lift the table with his legs *depending actually on weight of the table and angle at which grant was sitting* but the camera man could have accidently cauight one of those cables on it or something. just the fact that you can't see the table move is a little fushy by it's self.

now the closet door opening and closing...i actually think i'm impressed. not only can you see it close, you can hear it click shut. i'm still at a loss for the glass breaking. the only think i can think *being that clearly no one was over there* is that a sudden change from hot to cold or vise versa, but then there's the needed explination as to such a seveir change. if it was under a vent it's possible that it got cold from being near the wall, and when the heater kicked in the sudden blast of hot air cracked it. however that's rather far fetched...

does anyone else have explinations for the door opening and closing and the glass breaking? i'm really confused about the door, and conflicted as to how it could have happened. i want to say that since you can see it open, there was a person who opened it, but then who closed it and how would J not know there was another person in the room with him? i wish you could see the glass breaking though. that might give us the answer.

:tu: i really hope they do a follow up on this one!

The camera was in there all day and all night. ^^

And, the table thing, if Grant couldn't move it by himself, I doubt cords would do that either. I loved how the camera man whimpered.

Though, they hadn't had really planned on anything happening at that time; Grant just needed to use the light to change the tape in the recorder Brian set up.

One thing I noticed about the whole closet door opening, was that after it did open, I heard what sounded like footsteps; and then the glass breaking. Also, I doubt that a sudden change in temperature would have broken the glass. 1) It was a thick glass, remember? 2) Jay would have felt the severe transition, and most likely awoken.

And, last thing, I'm sure if they lightened the screen, they could see the glass breaking. o_o

footsteps? wow i'll have to watch it again and see if i catch it.

XD yeah that was great! and what's funny is i used to know a wendal(sp?) way back in middle school! i would have laughed if it was the same guy, but it wasn't.

i'm wondering if it's too far away though. if they put the video up on their page i'll see what i can do with it but it's a long shot (being so dark, it may wash everything else out.)

^^ oh yeah, i know about the needed the light thing, it's just weird the camera guy says both moved and i'll have to watch it again to be sure but i don't believe the table moved at all. we know the chair moved though.

sheesh, i wish that kind of stuff would happen to me. brian even said he heard a mans voice in that area. over all a great episode!

What cables? I'm assuming that both TAPS and Pilgrim Films uses relatively modern cameras. And even if a camera were plugged into a cable that caught on the table leg, a couple things should have happened: The cable should have been seen on the recording, as the camera was pointed right down at the floor; and the camera should have been jerked violently or at least unplugged, given the force required to jolt a heavy pedestal table and chair like that. Neither of these things happened. So something else besides a cable attached to the camera must have moved the table and chair. I suppose Grant could have spasmodically kicked it. That's about all I can figure.

And I can't think of anything normal that would simultaneously open a door and crack a thick drinking glass, and then close and latch the door later. And it did all this right in front of the camera.

I'm sure it's all lies and hallucinations, though! :P

They were really pretty clear to me. o_o

The whole time, I was wondering why they weren't pointing out the footsteps, so, meh. *Shrug*

I read elsewhere, on the SciFi forums, that one person heard a girl's voice after the door opened.

XD yeah that was great! and what's funny is i used to know a wendal(sp?) way back in middle school! i would have laughed if it was the same guy, but it wasn't.

That would have been great--for you--if it were the same guy. xD!

Either way, it was still funny.

As was Tango's magic ball. *Laughs*

Yeah, I thought about that, but it's worth a shot, is it not?

And, they haven't updated much of anything to do with evidence in forever. The last EVP added was in 2002. D:

I noticed that the table moved slightly, but the chair moved the most. Grant could have kicked the table, but he didn't move. He was still in the same position before, and after.

You just need to be in the right place at the right time. ^^

...and I don't trust Brian all that much, really.

Good points in your first paragraph; but you're such a down putter. :P

Joking.

Ohhnooo. D:

I'm sorry. *Patpat*

I've checked the SciFi listings, and it doesn't come on again, from what they say, any time soon. o___x

And that strongly dispoints me.

Next week, they're in Waverly.

That was a good episode, I guess.

AHAHA tango's magic ball, i had forgotten about that! i had to pause it i was laughing so hard!

"yeah, you'll get super powers if you touch the ball!" XD i was like. "oh that's great, lie to a ghost!" and yet still i was hoping it would move....

ah, there were a lot of distractions going on around me. i missed the entire convo between brian and steve. LOL lucky for tivo! i have the lighthouse episode permenetly saved to the tv.

i'll have to go back over it tomorrow and see what all i missed last night.

LOL yeah it would! haha, he'd get a phone call... "Hey old buddy, i saw you on tv screaming like a littlegirl!" XD just cause i have a mean streak like that...

Brian: trust him as far as i can throw him? no, but in some way i like him. ^^; he REALLY reminds me of a friend of mine. ^^;;; only sane, and not rambling about aliens up north in the southpole. XD sorry, sorry, inside joke. my friend needs giography lessons. -_- what scares me is he's going to be 24 this year (my friend.)

yup. i wish i had a better program to do it in though. i tried to do stuff to the one from the prison but it was too close in color to the surrounding to bring it out by it's self. i managed to lighten the chair moving from the other lighthouse though. there really isn't any explination to that one either...

i didn't think they made movie type professional cameras without cords. but you're right, that was just my mind trying to rationalize things. i'm one of those people who want to believe with undying faith that there are suchs things as ghosts, but has yet to see anything substanial.

XD sci-fi is brainwashing us to see and hear things!

I had to hold my breath to stop from laughing, because I wasn't about to miss hearing something...and yeah, that was kind of mean to say that. I was all, "Omg. YOULIE! D: Bad Tango. D: D: D:!"

But still wanting to see that stupid ball move. How awesome that would have been!

AHGOD. TIVO? x____x

You're kidding?! That's not fair! Burn me a copy. xP! All I've got is cheap cable...

Oh, and, what convo between Brian and Steve? They have a lot. Are you talking one from last night, because there isn't one I can recall. There was a conversation between Brian and Jay, or a conversation between Steve and Tango...

Brian: trust him as far as i can throw him? no, but in some way i like him.

Yeah, pretty much. And I can't throw anything. d:

Anyway, yeah, he is a good guy in a way, it's just he needs to confirm things instead of assuming; and stop adding so much drama to the show. Sure, he's a good investigator other wise. (Aside from sometimes in the first season, when everything was haunted. xD)

i managed to lighten the chair moving from the other lighthouse though. there really isn't any explination to that one either...

Lucky you. xP I envy you and all your fun programs.

XD sci-fi is brainwashing us to see and hear things!

Ahh! You have no idea! They should really stop adding music/sound effects! SO irritating!

I don't see how he could have lifted the table and chair himself. I watched it in slow motion and never saw his other leg move which it whould have to in order to reach to chair.

I loved last night's Ghost Hunters. The glass breaking could be explained away as a temperature change. Especially if (and I'm assuming it may be) the glass is old. Over time, no matter how thick the glass is or how thin it is, a sudden temp change from hot to cold could have cracked it. If J was tired enough....he may have not even noticed the temp change. Even a slight change could have done that. I was still very impressed though. :D Also, as for the door opening and closing..... I didn't hear footsteps at all, but it could have been someone from the team or crew opening the door, and closing it. We didn't get to see the door open at all, just the sound of it opening.....and as for the closing and latching....someone could have been laying on the floor and pushing it from the bottom .... since we didn't get to see the whole door, we can only assume it may have been paranormal. I'm a huge believer in spirits and the afterlife. However, that episode left me wondering if it was real or not. I'd have loved to been able to be there. Maybe in the future, I'll be able to visit. That'd be cool! :tu:

There is nooooo WAY the air changed temperature fast enough to crack a glass like that. I've never seen it happen, ever, in all my years on this planet. And for it to happen just the moment after the closet door happens to open... it's just too big a coincidence.

If it was a prankster, he could have shattered the glass with a high-velocity pellet of ice that would more or less vaporize on impact...

Yes, Robin, this was the work of... the Penguin!

No, seriously, if glasses can shatter from ambient temp changes, I have to see it demonstrated. Come on, I've put glass from a warm house into a freezer and taken it out again later and never had it crack, much less explode. And that's an instantaneous change from 70+ F to well below 30 or vice-versa-- a change of well over 40 degrees, instantaneously, each time! I don't see how ambient temp change could explain this.

Also, as for the door opening and closing..... I didn't hear footsteps at all, but it could have been someone from the team or crew opening the door, and closing it. We didn't get to see the door open at all, just the sound of it opening.....and as for the closing and latching....someone could have been laying on the floor and pushing it from the bottom ....

The prankster would still have to get in and out somehow, soundlessly, before J saw him. Impossible, in my opinion.

I'm not a huge believer in the afterlife, and I still can't explain what's on that tape. :)

Just watched again, and the cameraman filming Grant did have cables hooked up. But they were in no position to lift the table.
