Still Waters Posted March 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2013 Geckoella Jeyporensis or Jeypore ground gecko, an enigmatic lizard from the Eastern Ghats which was considered extinct, has been rediscovered after 135 years, according to naturalists at the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) here. Frank Merton Posted March 27, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2013 Good for it; I like gekkos; they wander around the ceilings catching mosquitoes. Now that I have air conditioning we have to keep the windows closed so the gekkos have nothing to eat and they go elsewhere. I guess that's better than the mosquitoes eating me and me getting dengue. The way they are able to walk upside down with nothing to hold onto and not leave any trace (like a snail that leaves its slime behind) is kinda amazing.
