SHaYap Posted March 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2016 Didn't follow the trial but was made aware of the headlines ... things didn't look good for the prosecutors way back early in the proceedings when the the Courts threw out a few of the charges ... very few really understands what the full definition of 'testify' means anymore, sadly which is what this case was truly about. ~

Only_ Posted March 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2016 (edited) There were 3 witnesses accusing him and somehow not one of them could get her testimony straight. This is what makes me suspicious of their claims. I don't know about Ghomeshi, maybe he did in fact do those things but in a court of law you are innocent until there is reasonable evidence to be proven guilty. SHaYap Posted March 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2016 Well, things being what it is and the Courts being bound by Law and not kangaroos , spicing up testimonies and strengthening evidences with flimsy add ons just weakens the Jurisdiction of the Judge to the extent where jurisprudence is swayed towards sympathetic at most, regardless and irrespective. ~
Hugh Posted March 25, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 25, 2016 (edited) Apparently he had saved all of their emails they had sent to him, and the contents and tone of some didn't match what would be expected of an assault victim... in fact quite the opposite. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/mar/24/jian-ghomeshi-trial-why-prosecution-fell-apart Edited March 25, 2016 by Hugh
aztek Posted March 25, 2016 #7 Share Posted March 25, 2016 (edited) wouldn't it be nice if first victim had a gun and blew his brains out,? there would be no 2nd and 3rd assault. not to mention may be there is more that went unreported, that is if those were real assaults, not just allegations\lies to get even for something Edited March 25, 2016 by aztek
