Worshippers feared for their lives

I am getting so sick and tired of this type of thing. There is a time and a place, please pick them appropriately.

From the article:

Worshipers attending Easter Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral got the scare of their lives when a band of unruly protesters disrupted the event.

“I thought they were going to blow themselves up,” worshiper Carol Forester, 50, confessed.

A group of six animal rights protesters abruptly leaped up from a pew in the middle of the service and shouted, “Easter is a time for love! No more shedding animal blood!” while holding up signs of animals pleading for their lives.

About 20 minutes into the Rev. Damian O’Connell’s noon Mass, protester Jacob Martin, 23, rose out of his seat in the center of the church and started to walk down the aisle while shouting into a bullhorn that “only the devil” could create “animals capable of love and joy just so humans can make them suffer and die.”

Okay that's just ****g bizarre!! Shedding of animal blood? Who sheds animal blood on Easter? It's a time for not listening to your whiney ass kids who beg and beg for a bunny or a chick, but that's about it. People need to learn now to peacefully protest things. Not act like a bunch of raving lunatics. Do you really think people are going to listen to you if you're violent?

can you say aimed anti christian campaign? those animal rights idiots are just pawns, played and sacrificed. if they even belong to any animal right group at all.,

if they really cared about animals the'd all over puppy mills, and campaigning for stricter animal cruelty laws. it is actually ironic but first animal cruelty laws were introduced by Nazi party

he has, also Nazi party were the first to introduce anti smoking campaign. whether Hitler himself was initiator, i'm not sure, but he did hate when people smoked around him.

Interesting side note, Hitler became a vegetarian in his later life claiming it lead to 'purity'.

I thought he did that because his doctor was a lunatic and said eating meat was bad for him.

I also note that these "merchant bankers" chose a Christian congregation to spread their verbal manure and not, say, the place of worship of the purveyors of Halal or Kosher. You know, the slaughter practices that would be called inhumane if they weren't religious.

I think you're wrong about kosher and halal slaughter practices. For meat to be Kosher at any rate it is required that the animal be treated humanely, and I think it's the same for halal.

Anyway they were focused on ham at this protest because a lot of ham is eaten on Easter, and they don't do kosher or halal ham.

The protesters and I have something in common. We both focused on ham this Easter(though admittedly in differing manners).

Halal requires animals to be conscious when they're bled.

Usual slaughter practices here in Oz involve a pneumatic punch to the brain, instant death, unless it's Halal or Kosher.
