3D printed ears for children with deformities

Children with deformities will soon be given 3D printed ears after scientists developed a ground-breaking technique to correct birth defects.

Professor Alex Selfalian and his team at University College London have discovered that the structure of the ear can be printed using a biological 'ink' which builds the shape of the organ.

It shows you how good the technology can be, and the prospects for deformities and other related treatments is well, whatever you can print.

I got a 3D printed model of myself. at my local ASDA, they had a 3D scanning device, and just for a laugh we got a model of ourselves. had to wait six seeks for it to arrive by post but great it is, detail is brilliant including the colour of my clothes. (it was a trial) so we got the model for £35 each. the eventual price we were told will be around £60.

Im thinking of making a terracotta style army of myself.

Photo is sample picture from ASDA.
