The point of life is to love and be loved

Just something I heard somewhere, but I think it's true.

If it is, and the message is floating around a collective unconscious of this world, then I keep running into the message, or it keeps running into me.

I feel that way but don't waste love on someone that doesn't love you back or treats you badly.

I try not to.

Love yourself first if you can. Then love life. Then kiss the sun or the moon. Maybe then you will be ready to love others. At least that is what I strive for but I am not picky about the order at all.

The trouble with love is that it can leave and when it does it put a terrible taint on the rest of life.

I hold it true, whate'er befall;

I feel it, when I sorrow most;

'Tis better to have loved and lost

Than never to have loved at all.

I hate to disagree with Tenneyson, but when love leaves there is nothing more dismal.

The alternative, having no emotion at all, sounds like a kind of living death.

Nah, I don't think so. If it is, a lot of people are failing miserably. Maybe the purpose of life is to live, maybe it is that simple and people keep complicating things.
