RPM Posted October 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2014 I Feel It by Ryan M. I feel it. It is the combination of sounds and thoughts. It is the combination of wind and silence. Listening to the cars pass by. Listening to the slight conversations of small crowds. Everyone is relieved. Everyone is casual. We are relaxed. We are happy. The birds among us chirp scarcely. The clouds above us glide slowly. Understanding that this moment won’t last. Understanding that I have felt this moment before. I know it will have to pass. I know I will have many more. I feel it.
RPM Posted October 3, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted October 3, 2014 Just some back-story for this poem: It was describing this feeling of bliss I get every now and again. It doesn't happen often, but I think I know how to make it happen. When I go for a walk with friends in the fall, I usually get it. It's amazing and this was my attempt to capture it in words.
