Owlscrying Posted October 31, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2007 The oldest known buried human remains in Britain date back 29,000 years, scientists announced. The Red Lady skeleton, actually that of a young man but named because of the colour of the ochre covering the bones, was initially thought to date back 25,000 years. New techniques in dating, developed by researchers at the British Museum and Oxford University, have found that the remains are actually 4,000 years older than that. go

Pretty cool! The Solutrean people had a parallel culture in prehistoric North America called the "Red Paint People" (i.e. Clovis). Their lithic technologies ( stone work), fishing techniques and burial practices were the same and there could be a connection.
