Still Waters Posted May 16, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2013 They may not have caught on, but history's strangest inventions capture the incredible scope of human imagination. A new collection showcases the wooden swimming costumes, photograph guns that shoot a victim whilst taking an image, and a piano you can play in bed that were dreamed up by amateurs. The bizarre devices - which also include a mill that sends water uphill and bicycle tyres used as arm bands for swimming lessons - date as far back as the 1500s. http://www.dailymail...-boundless.html
wolfknight Posted May 16, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2013 Some of those are beyond strange. Wooden bathing suits? I did like the powered unicycle.
PersonFromPorlock Posted May 16, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 16, 2013 (edited) The gun-camera is sensible as a training device: you can check where the gun was pointed. Use it with a live round and the hot gas leaking out of the cylinder gap would blow the camera off the gun.
