Weird dreams

My dream the other night (Sorry about the poor writing style, I was trying to get it all down)

I'm stuck in a house with 30 other people

House is screwed up in ten different languages

House tries to kill everyone.

Was in a room with three other girls

We heard something coming down and checking the doors

If it was locked the thing would move on

We locked the door

The thing saw that the light was on

It said something in a really sing songy voice

I snuck into another room before I had to watch the other girls die (not proud of that)

Heard the other girls being killed

I walk into the next room (I think I turned on a light but I can't remember.)

Directly in front of me is a rounded wall of windows

In the middle of said room the was a claw foot bathtub with a noose hanging over it.

I think someone spoke to me but I can't remember, lowkey think it was a weasel.

Then a talking wolf tried to attack me

Backs my against a couch

Glowing incantation appears on my forearm

I read it

Wolf becomes my best friend

House kills all but 5-10 people

The last few are taken out to compete in something

You don't have to kill anyone but we don't know what happens to the loser of the challenge.

My friend was there.

I beat him

Some other person that was cheating was there

Last thing I remember is having vines try to get me.

Then there was a falling sensation that resembles when a high dosage Valium kicks in.

I had a nightmare last night, it was worse than normal. I called my Wiccan friend. I explained it was a reoccurring dream. I gave him details and he gave me three options. I'll start with the betterish options. Either I'm having anxiety attacks in my sleep, I'm an empath (I take other people's emotions), I accidentally invited dead people to talk to me (scary goddamn dead people), or I'm having visions that are predicting my own death.

I don't know what to think, any suggestions?

I haven't watched movies recently. I noticed the pattern as well, but I don't understand why I would have dreams that correlate with that seeing as how I haven't seen the Hunger Games since it came out.

I haven't watched movies recently. I noticed the pattern as well, but I don't understand why I would have dreams that correlate with that seeing as how I haven't seen the Hunger Games since it came out.

You still remember the movie. We create scenarios in our dreams to deal with life's problems. Most of the time the brain (like anything else) will take the path of least resistance and replay/recycle memories already stored. Movies you watch, even from years ago, are the perfect 'stage'. Now, if you want to dig deeper into your dream's meaning; I would guess there is something going on in your life you're avoiding or fearful of something coming to light.

Thank you for attempting to answer my actual question. I realize it is similar to the movie, that really wasn't my question. It was why I was I was having dreams about it. Also why on earth I was having the feeling I explained at the very end, that's actually my main concern.

Try not to give your bad dreams any credence. Too often we wake up from a nightmare, then spend time trying to give it meaning. I believe dreams have a purpose but they are crude with symbolism that our waking minds can't grasp. Let your dreams stay in the correct realm.
