You're right - if you're referring to immigrants. (Although, that last sentence is a bit of an assumption). But the article was clearly referring to 2nd and 3rd generation migrants as well. Any reason they shouldn't feel "British"? If you're born and brought up in Britain, then you're British - even if that's mixed with another cultural heritage. Culture isn't genetic.
As an Englishman I can state with 100% confidece that in Britain most immigrants have not integrated into our society.
There is simply no pressure forcing them to do so as our politicians have allowed multi-culturalism. Do you know that in England we have first, second and third generation immigrants that cant even speak a word of English? I can only guess that the author of the newspaper article has never been to one of our large cities. The divisions in our cities are obvious as the different groups isolate themselves from each other.
Very few English people live in English cities anymore and I could tell you why but I'd be accused of being racist. Thankfully we have immigrant politicians like Warsi to comment on the attitude that a lot of immigrants have towards white people. Britains cities are a breeding ground of Muslim extremism producing lots of people who resent Western society and Western cultural values.
I intend getting out of it before the problems start as many other Britains have done. Austrailia anybody?
