Plenty of funded experiments have been performed on this subject and it has been concluded that it is nothing more than a dream state. Unlike the majority of the believers, I've researched both sides of this subject thoroughly. Based on research and actual experience, I can say for a fact that people cannot leave their bodies. It is not possible. You realize going out of your way to find any thread that has astral projection in it to state your opinion can be construed as harrassment.
