Ghostdancer Posted January 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Glenn Frey, one of the founders of the Eagles has passed away. Most of my fave Eagles tunes are those sung by GF. A heartache tonight for Eagles fans. So sad he's already gone. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/glenn-frey-eagles-guitarist-dead-at-67-20160118#ixzz3xdZIL4zA

Ghostdancer Posted January 22, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted January 22, 2016 Here's an article: http://wtop.com/entertainment/2016/01/arizona-city-made-famous-by-eagles-song-celebrates-frey-3/ I visited this site upon returning from a trip to Flagstaff. I was talking to one of the employees of the gift shop that is right across the street from the statue and according to him local lore has it that Jackson Browne was arrested and put in jail for vagrancy in Winslow. After he got out he went to the bar which is now this gift shop and told people there that he was going to write a song about his experience. But I guess this is just one version anyway. Gomar Posted January 31, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Really only 3 Eagles songs get air play. And their best came in the 70's when they were on drugs and drunk.
