My dad seen what he calls a "jinn" last night

Okay guys so I'm pretty sure this is my first post idk I made this account a few year bak and don't use it very much anyways I want some answers for what my dad saw last night sooo he works early hours 2-7 am anddd at around 5 am when he was nearly finished he heard and felt a loud thump on the top of his van (he's a delivery driver) and he said it reminded him of the movies when a huge werewolf jumps on top of the car anyways so hewas a bit startled and then he saw in the back of his van what he calls a "jinn" (his family background is Muslim but he's not very religious) he described it as being dark grey-black in colour "skeleton looking" with red eyes and long sharp claws he said it scared the **** out of him but he remained composed coz he said he felt like if he showed fear the jinn would win anyways so now the jinns in the back of his van and he said it was scratching on the divider between the carrying part and the seats of his van which is just like a flimsy metal cage like thing he said he saw it right up close and he wanted it to go away so he said the "bismillah" prayer the whole thing was needed and then he said he felt like he left his body and fought with the jinn and then when the prayer was finished the jinn disappeared and then he got out the car and all the crates in the back were all messed up like he really got into a fight and this morning when be got home and told me I looked on the top of his van (I'm skeptical but open minded) on the top of his van were scratches.... Could be a wear and tear tbjng but man idk so I just want answers any questions people have I'll be glad to tell my dad so be can answer best he can thanks guys

Thats interesting, certainly don't hear this kind of report much.

Is there anything going on, related to that religion, like presently, that would make this... I don't know, that would relate to this? Or anything in his own life - parents or other people trying to get him be more religious lately, etc?

Nah not at all he's never been really religious just learnt about it when he was a kid and he just told me his radio in the car turned off randomly before and during the attack

Do you know if your dad had possibly suffered from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) after leaving the army ?

It can be quite a common thing with soldiers who have fought in war.

Some people can go through life without realising they have it - unless or until the condition has been diagnosed.

Nah he was in the army 16-18 he's 49 now and it wasn't that intense to cause such horrific hallucinations and he just told me when the jinn attacked him the radio stopped working too

Its a very easy method to employ, maybe he could carry a keyring around with him that contains something made from iron?
