Althalus Posted February 7, 2003 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2003 NASA now doubts that the impact of a chunk of foam insulation during launch sent the space shuttle Columbia to its doom. "We believe there's something else," which has so far escaped detection, said space shuttle program manager Ron Dittemore on Wednesday. Dittemore was speaking as an Air Force plane flew remains of the seven astronauts to Dover Air Force Base for identification.
