  • "The world was hers for the reading"

I couldn't think of a much better title <_< oh well...

She bites her nails
She chews her lip,
Her eyes well up
But no tears drip.

She tells herself
Don't let it show,
Hold it in.
Don't let it go.

Then just as she knows
She can't hold much more,
They're in the driveway,
Then through the door.

And in her room
She breaths a sigh,
Sits on her bed,
And begins to cry.

She cries for love
And blissful fear,
For though her life
Has been short here,

The weight of the world
Which bends and breaks,
Binds her lungs with every breath she takes.

One pill goes down,
Then two, then four,
'Till she just can't feel the pain anymore.

And although one day
This girl will die,
Just for one moment
This girl will fly.

Yet the tears still flow,
Each one down.
As soon she is silent,
Making no sound.

And with a smile she slips away,
to some unknown place,
As her last, single, bitter tear
Slips silently down her face.

Sorry for the grammatical incorrectness and errors :geek:

“Still round the corner there may wait, A new road or a secret gate,
And though I oft have passed them by,
A day will come at last when I, Shall take the hidden paths that run,
West of the Moon, East of the Sun.”

I won't fault you for romanticizing suicide but instead celebrate the fact that you are a slave to creativity.

Well done!
Poignant.

Keep your eyes wide open and don't run!

P.S. Just to be clear, because sometimes I am not. I do not believe...
in the existence of a large previously unknown undiscovered hairy biped roaming North America.
But I like to hear the accounts, read the books, watch the shows, discuss and argue about the phenomenon.

It's sad, yet touching. One who writes well will never die....
